Scholastic Teachers (https://www.scholastic.com/teachers) is a website that offers resources, tools, teachables, digital eBooks and digital resources to help the everyday teacher in the classroom. Scholastic Teachers also provide a plethora of resources and tools to promote and empower literacy for every student. on Scholastic, you can shop for a diverse set of books for every level, teacher resources to empower learning in the classroom, as well as shop for digital eBooks and digital resources to empower teacher knowledge and pedagogy.
Browsing through the site, there were a number of features that caught my eye. Firstly, the vast selection of books by genres, themes, and grade levels were wonderful to see as Scholastic provides a large selection to choose from. Not only does Scholastic provide books to shop for, but manipulatives as well. As an Early Childhood Educator, manipulatives can be quite hard and expensive to find on the island of Guam. Seeing that Scholastic offers these manipulatives and at decent prices makes my Early Childhood Educator teacher heart happy.
Another feature worthwhile mentioning about is the Scholastic Teachables tab.
You can find this by first clicking on the Categories tab. In the Scholastic Teachables tab, teachers would be able to shop for worksheets, lesson plans, book-guides, eBooks, and digital versions of teaching resources for just about any subject and grade.
Scholastic Teachers is for teachers only, and knows that teachers pay for lots of things out of their own pockets. That is why Scholastic Teacher also offers a number of resources, tools, and books that you can find under their Sale tab. The Sale tab features items called super savers, items under a certain price range, and even another Clearance tab, as well.
